What you tell us
Your answers to the questions, and any note you type, are sent to this site's server so it can find gift ideas.
When the AI helper is on
The page says at the top whether the AI helper is on. When it is, your answers and note are also sent to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI, so it can choose from our gift list and explain its picks. Anthropic's privacy policy covers what it does with that information.
In demo mode, nothing you type is sent to anyone else.
What we keep
We don't save your answers or your note. They aren't stored in a database or written to our logs, and your browser doesn't save them either. Reloading the page clears them.
Our server logs record only technical details: which address was requested, whether it worked, how long it took, and, when the AI helper is on, how much the AI request cost.
Hosting
This site runs on Cloudflare, which delivers every page and request, so it handles your IP address and browser details to do that. Cloudflare's privacy policy covers what it does with that information. We've turned off Cloudflare's request logging for this site.
Limits on use
To prevent abuse, the server remembers each visitor's IP address and the times of their gift requests for up to one hour. This is kept in memory only. It isn't written to disk or to logs, and it disappears when the server restarts.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and shows no ads. Visitor statistics and store links are covered below.
Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. When a page loads, a small script from Cloudflare measures how quickly it loaded and reports that, with the page's address, to Cloudflare. We see only totals: page views, visits, and which pages, countries, referring websites, browsers, operating systems and device types they came from.
Cloudflare says this script doesn't use cookies or other storage in your browser, and doesn't fingerprint visitors by IP address, browser details or anything else. Your answers and note are never part of a page's address, so they aren't included.
Links to review sites
Gift ideas can link to the independent reviews they came from. Those links open the other site in a new tab, and that site's own privacy policy applies there. We don't tell those sites which page you came from.
Store links
Product cards and gift guides link to each product's page on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Each store link carries this site's Associates ID so Amazon can credit the referral. When you follow one, you're on Amazon's site, where Amazon's privacy notice applies and Amazon may use its own cookies to track the referral. This site itself still sets no cookies.

Please leave names, addresses, health details and other private information out of your note. This helper is for gifts for adults (18 and over).
